Most books and periodicals are referred to under their titles and the date in which they were published if necessary. Sources of Gerhardt’s texts are referenced by the last name of the author. The only exception to this is Crüger’s Praxis pietatis melica which had several editions and are labeled by the first letters of the book and the year of publication.
